Hello, I’m Heather Morden, a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor who helps women with low self-esteem to believe in something, starting with themselves.
I know what it’s like to try to control your world through doing what someone told you should do, the quest to please and creating endless to-do lists, to power through, to live on auto-pilot.
To believe long-held family stories that influence how you show up in the world.
To criticize yourself so harshly. To feel over-responsible or guilty and constantly question yourself. It’s a lonely place.
But it doesn’t have to be that way and you’re not on your own.
My journey as a therapist began when I lost a family member. Grief made me question everything.
It taught me we all have a wisdom inside that if we slow down and learn how to listen, our lives could change.
Therapy allowed me to feel confident, accepted, and heard. That was over 10 years ago.
I turned my life around, I trained and qualified as a soul centred therapist and I’ve been helping other women transform their lives ever since!

I know it can be daunting to reach out and see a counsellor for the first time and it’s very normal to feel nervous (I’ve been where you are and know the challenges!).
Sometimes just talking through what’s on your mind can be a great relief.

My learning about myself and others always continues. I read, attend events, listen to podcasts and seek out new concepts in all things therapeutic to update my practice and continually work on my self-improvement.
I also wholeheartedly adore a good cappuccino, my motto at the moment is “Courage over Comfort” and our family has a mini labradoodle called Buddy who rules the roost!
